In addition to its other educational services, Falls View Academy is now a private preschool, offering the finest quality preschool experience. FVA offers preschool classes to both 3 and 4 year olds. Two classes are offered, three-days a week or a two-day class. Classes are in session from 9 to noon each day. If sufficient demand exists, we will offer a section to meet in the afternoons. Mission and Philosophy
Falls View Academy’s curriculum provides a diverse, creative learning experience tailored to children’s developmental level. Our motto is prosperitus per incrementum, “success through growth.” We believe no matter one’s age, skills or innate gifts, everyone can and should keep growing. Success in life is attained through growth and continued pursuit of enrichment.
Our program follows a structured plan, while leaving room for flexibility. This allows students to be creative and explore many materials within an enriching, literacy-based environment. Children grow into relationships with peers while subtly directed by an attentive and dedicated staff. Our goal is for students to achieve “success through growth” in confidence, social skills and academic performance. We expect our graduating students (and their parents) entering Kindergarten to be fully prepared for the challenges facing them.

Our three year old classes have a maximum class size of twelve children. The structure of their program provides an environment which helps them to accept non-family, caring, adult guidance.They are encouraged to actively participate in group and individual activities. These activities emphasize large and small motor coordination, sharing with others and independence.

Four year olds are enthusiastic, adventurous, bold, eager, and fun! This is the year when you will see a growing interest in letters, numbers and “academics”. FVA’s preschool program is designed to enhance the development of children and challenge them based on their individual abilities without pressure or loss of self-esteem. Our preschool program is also designed to familiarize your child with the types of schedules and routines they will find when they go to Kindergarten the following year.By providing whole class instruction, small group interaction, and peer interaction your 4-5 year old will begin their journey into their early childhood education.
The four year old program offers children the opportunity to discover new ways in which to use familiar materials and abilities with an emphasis on readiness skills. Listening and verbal skills are expanded to foster meaningful conversation and creative communication. Large and small motor activities are included within the structures of group games, music, and crafts both indoors and outdoors. The maximum class size is twelve. We follow UPK and NYS Standards/Milestones throughout the year to best prepare our students for Kindergarten.
