Academic and Financial Aid Advisement

Due to the current higher education marketplace, preparing for life after high school graduation has become exceedingly more challenging. It can often be both an overwhelming and grueling process if you do not have the proper assistance to guide you through. FVA offers holistic academic and financial aid advisement to help students and families build upon the foundation laid down by their school guidance counselors. We are an active partner in your post-secondary college and career pathway.

FVA College Readiness services are offered year round through signature packages for students in their freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school. Traditionally, services start in the beginning of the academic school year, but FVA also works with families during single semester, summer, and workshop programming.

With our wealth of academic and enrichment capabilities, FVA focuses on the academic readiness and planning involved in being ready for college and career opportunities. We will work with your family to assess student identity to pinpoint careers of interest, analyze your child’s individual educational goals, academic performance, and career outlook, and will identify the best opportunities for their higher educational journey.

Coupled with our experience in higher education admissions and financial aid, our team of professionals will guide your family through the college readiness process. We will help you prepare for the academic rigor, lay the pathway to career attainment and success, and be able to meet the needs of your child’s decision in post-secondary educational advancement, when the time comes.

Additionally, we are able to provide the added support for recruiting, auditioning, and submitting portfolios to those students who wish to continue their sport, musical talent, and/or art as part of their higher education journey. These activities are often a driving force and a necessary component to a student’s ambition in education and life. We value the continuation of such activities as many of our faculty and staff shared the same passion for sports, music and the arts with great success throughout their educational and life journey.

FVA also offers stand alone college readiness services in application assistance, essay construction and editing, college visit planning, and secondary education guidance and planning. Our packages and stand alone services are designed to work as part of your child’s Student Education Plan (SEP) and will be completely customized to your family’s needs and wants for academic attainment.
